Harmonic Drive’s Family of Integrated Actuators incorporate Harmonic Drive® gear reducers and have the servo drive built into the actuator itself, eliminating the need for an external drive which greatly simplifies cabling. These actuators feature CANopen® communication and only require a single four conductor cable. Up to 127 actuators can be controlled on a single bus.

A wide range of integrated actuators extend from the tiny RSF-5B (measuring just 20mm square) to the new, powerful SHA -32 (146 mm diameter) which delivers up to 484 Nm of torque. The FHA and the SHA integrated actuators have dual absolute encoders measuring both the motor position as well as the position of the output of the actuator. Configurable I/O is also available for additional functionality controlled through the CAN bus.
