Many Novotechnik angle and position sensor are integral parts of complex industrial feedback loop controls. To meet rising safety demands selected Novotechnik sensors are available in redundant versions, have diagnostics built in and are suitable for safety-relevant applications according to ISO 13849.

Non-contact rotary angle sensors utilize the NovoHall™ Hall-Effect for measurements without shafts or couplings to measure without mechanical wear and through solid or nonsolid materials. A magnetic marker attaches to an application´s rotating part and a sensing part with NovoHall technology detects the field orientation and converts the detected angle into an analog or digital output signal. One of six product families this technology is used in is the RFC4800 Series and enables up to 14-bit resolution and repeatability of 0.1° or better. The high temperature rating of -40°C to +120°C and high seal rating of IP69 are key specifications that express the long-term robustness of this low profile sensor.
